Chicago Design Archive Projection
Projection created and archived for the Chicago Design Archive of moving image projections for each decade of the archive. This project challenged our project planning skills, collaboration and visual language skills by requiring we work together to plan and build the projection surface. My projection decade is 2000-2010. I explored this span of modern design through the moving image by interpreting the materials to tell a cohesive visual story about my cities design history in the new millenium. I chose 3 themes I noticed repeatedly in the online archive, abstraction, bold and condensed type, and collage.
Imagine Justice is a foundation working to combat mass incarceration in the United States. Founded by Chicago hip hop artist and rapper Common, the non-profit serves to collaborate and to co-produce new projects for nonprofits, companies and social impact campaigns.
